Custom kids SUP: what to include in your brief
Prepare a children’s SUP project with DSPR: intended rider and use, dimensions to confirm, deck layout, graphics and equipment questions. A smaller outline alone does not establish suitability.

At a glance
An adult-led brief should describe intended use, rider experience and relevant height and weight, with units.
9′ × 28″ /274 × 71 cm is a custom design reference, not a universal children’s size or confirmed stocked model.
DSPR confirms the exact dimensions, equipment, instructions and quote; illustrations do not establish suitability.
Start with the intended rider and use
For a custom children’s SUP, give DSPR a brief from the parent or responsible adult: the intended rider’s approximate height and weight with units, paddling experience, planned setting and how the board will be used. Describe what prompts the request—for example, a different deck layout or dimensions from an existing board. Names, dates of birth and photographs of a child are not needed for this initial discussion. A “kids” label or a smaller outline does not by itself establish suitability for a particular rider.
Treat the example size as a design question
The DSPR shape guide shows a children’s concept of 9′ × 28″, approximately 274 × 71 cm. This is a starting reference, not a confirmed stocked model or a recommended size for every child. Send any preferred length and width with units and explain why you are considering them. Ask DSPR to confirm the proposed thickness, construction, load specification and operating instructions in writing. Do not apply the dimensions, technical ratings or reference price of the standard 11-foot leisure SUP to a different custom board.
Mark the clear deck area and fittings
Use a simple top-view sketch labelled nose and tail. Mark the desired pad area, carry handle, valve, cargo and attachment points, and show any area you want to keep free of raised fittings. If your request comes from an existing board, identify the exact feature you want to change. Handle reach, pad layout and fitting positions are questions to resolve together with the proposed dimensions. The coral-and-mint concept is a visual reference; it does not guarantee that every fitting can be moved to any position.
Confirm equipment for the proposed configuration
Ask for a written list of included items and their specifications, especially the paddle, fin, pump and any requested extra equipment. Give details or connection photographs for equipment you already own; do not assume it fits because it is called a SUP accessory. The ordinary leisure kit includes paddle, pump, leash, backpack, fin and repair kit, with unbranded standard accessories. That list does not confirm the package or suitability of an item for a children’s custom configuration. Ask which equipment and instructions apply to the exact board and intended use.
Review graphics without losing the configuration
Send exact logo spelling, preferred colours and placement on the same sketch as the dimensions and fittings. Keep text clear of areas reserved for hardware or the agreed pad. The illustration can help discuss a coral-and-mint colour scheme; your approved drawing determines the actual design. Before production, review one identified revision with the quote, accessory list and unresolved technical questions. Ask DSPR to clarify suitability and use limitations for the proposed configuration. A graphic approval or product video is not an age guarantee or a safety certification.
Send an adult-led enquiry to DSPR
Send DSPR the intended use, relevant rider details, preferred dimensions, marked deck layout, graphics, equipment questions, quantity and delivery country or postal code. Use the responsible adult’s name, email and WhatsApp for follow-up. Custom projects start from one board; the final configuration, package, product price and freight need their own quote. Sending the enquiry does not place an order or take payment. Keep the agreed design and item list for comparison with the finished-product photos or video DSPR proactively sends before dispatch.
