Start with the way you want to paddle
Relaxed outings, longer journeys, yoga and racing ask different things of a board. Decide which activity matters most, then consider your paddling experience, the total load you will carry and the conditions at your chosen location. A custom shape should answer a particular need.
Length: a balance of glide and turning
Longer outlines generally favour glide and straight-line travel. Shorter outlines are usually easier to turn and move around on land. Our standard SUP configuration is 11 feet long, approximately 335 cm. Touring, racing and smaller-paddler shapes are available as separate custom configurations.
Width: standing room and paddle reach
A wider outline gives more deck space and generally more initial stability; a narrower outline can make each paddle stroke easier to keep close to the rail. Our standard configuration is 32 inches wide, approximately 81 cm. Choose the whole outline rather than treating width alone as a guarantee of performance.
Thickness, load and construction
Our standard configuration is 6 inches thick, approximately 15 cm. Thickness alone does not tell you how a board will behave: construction, inflation, the paddler and carried gear also matter. A published maximum load is a product limit, not a recommendation for every paddler or activity. Follow the supplied instructions and valve markings.
What your standard set includes
One DSPR board comes with a paddle, inflation pump, leash, backpack, fin and repair kit. The standard accessories are unbranded. If you want different dimensions, materials or an upgraded accessory package, send your requirements so we can confirm the design and any price change before production.
