Custom product design approval checklist

Review dimensions, artwork, colours, fittings and accessories against your DSPR quote before design approval. Use one clear revision and resolve open questions.

At a glance

  • Review one identified drawing against the quote; collect exact corrections before approval.

  • Check dimensions and units, logo text and positions, colours, fittings and the model-specific package.

  • Send DSPR the revision and open questions. The enquiry form asks questions; it does not approve a design.

Review one identifiable design revision

Before approving a DSPR custom design, compare one clearly identified drawing with your written quote and collect all corrections in one reply. Start with the model name, quantity and the file or revision you are reviewing. If several images or messages disagree, ask DSPR which drawing and configuration should be used. A screenshot from an earlier conversation may show an option that has since changed. Keep unresolved points visible and request clarification before giving design approval. The enquiry form can carry your questions; sending it does not approve a drawing, place an order or take payment.

Check dimensions and the views you need

Read every length, width and thickness or height with its unit. Distinguish the listed standard model from any custom dimensions in your quote. For a paddle board, check the outline and which side is the nose; for a platform, mark the boarding side, seating or counter, and any deck opening. Ask for another view if a single picture leaves a fitting position unclear. The 335 × 109 cm pedal fishing SUP has its own configuration; it should not inherit the thickness or accessory list of an ordinary leisure SUP. Any unconfirmed technical value needs a written answer for your project.

Proofread artwork at each agreed location

Check the exact spelling, capitalisation and orientation of every visible word, including small text in a logo. Identify the deck, rails, canopy or other location separately rather than writing only “add my logo”. Mark the position and requested size on a labelled image, and make sure the artwork file matches the revision under discussion. Include both sides when the layout differs. If a handle, pad or opening sits near a graphic, ask DSPR to confirm how they relate in the final layout. A general product image is a starting reference, not your approval record.

Describe colours and fittings precisely

List the colours for the main body, pad, rail panels or canopy as separate items. Use your agreed colour references and ask what will be confirmed before production; a screen image alone does not settle every colour detail. Then review handles, valves, mounts, seats and other requested fittings against the drawing. State which positions must be clarified and which are preferences. For a fishing layout, consider the seat, pedals, steering and gear locations together. For a canopy platform, review the entrance and furniture layout. Ask whether a proposed change affects construction, available space or the quoted configuration.

Match the accessory list to the written quote

Check included items line by line, plus any requested replacements, additions or accessory branding. The standard leisure SUP kit contains a paddle, pump, leash, backpack, fin and repair kit; its standard accessories are unbranded. The pedal fishing model has a different stated package. Blue Haven lists an electric pump and repair kit, while Blue Cove’s accessory package is confirmed by quote. Do not transfer one model’s list to another. Ask DSPR to reconcile any difference between the design, product description and quote, including whether a requested change affects price, freight or the estimated schedule.

Send a single list of corrections to DSPR

Send DSPR the model and quantity, drawing filename or revision, the exact changes needed, open specification questions and the accessory list you want confirmed. Add delivery country and postal code if dimensions or configuration have changed. Use the form’s optional reference-file section for your marked-up drawing, and include your email and WhatsApp for follow-up. After payment and receipt of a complete brief, DSPR provides the first design within one working day; modification costs are agreed for the actual request. Production starts after design approval. Resolve the design and quote together, then keep the agreed revision for comparison with the finished-product photos or video DSPR proactively sends before dispatch.
