Custom canopy floating platform: what to include in your brief
Plan the footprint, seating, canopy and boarding layout before requesting a floating-platform quote. Compare DSPR lounge and bar references, package details and delivery estimates.
Plan my canopy platform
At a glance
Sketch the footprint, seating or counter, deck opening and boarding route before choosing colours.
Blue Cove: 3 × 3 m, US$1,988 reference price. Blue Haven: 3 × 4 m, US$2,188 reference price. Packages differ.
Floating-platform DDP freight is estimated at US$800 per unit to eligible addresses. Confirm custom changes, accessories and delivery in your quote.
Start with a top view, not just a canopy colour
For a custom canopy floating platform, send DSPR a simple top-view sketch showing the overall footprint, seating or counter, boarding point and the space you want to keep open. Add a reference model and describe where you plan to use it. A marked-up product photo is enough to start; you do not need a finished technical drawing. Decide whether a lounge around a table or a counter-led layout better matches your plans. This brief helps us clarify the configuration before quoting, rather than treating a change of colour as the whole custom project.
Separate platform dimensions from access space
Write the requested length and width with units. The listed Blue Cove lounge is 3 × 3 m; the Blue Haven bar is 3 × 4 m. Our other references are the 3 × 3 × 2.6 m Social Club bar and 4 × 4 × 2.6 m Cabana lounge. These are model references, not a promise that every part of a custom layout fits inside the same outline. Ask which overall dimensions include the canopy, attached step or other projections. Provide the available space at your intended site, access route and storage space separately, with photos if helpful. Custom sizes need an agreed layout and quote.
Mark seating, table and boarding positions
On the sketch, show where you want seats, the table or counter, and an open route from the boarding point. Blue Cove has curved seating, a round table, a deck opening and a separate step; Blue Haven uses a peaked canopy and a U-shaped counter. Their photos help you discuss those differences without assuming the packages are interchangeable. If you want to move a seat, change the deck opening or add a step, mark the change explicitly and ask DSPR to confirm the arrangement. Describe the planned users and carried equipment for assessment; seating shown in a photo is not a verified passenger or load rating.
Confirm canopy details and the exact package
State your canopy shape, colour and logo preferences and ask for the proposed height, supports and attachment details to be confirmed. Describe the intended water setting and any site restrictions so the proposed setup can be discussed; canopy images do not establish a wind rating or permission to use the product anywhere. List pumps, repair items and every requested extra separately. Blue Haven’s confirmed standard accessories are an electric inflation pump and repair kit. Blue Cove’s accessory package is confirmed in the quote, so do not copy the Blue Haven kit to it. Final equipment, fitting positions and instructions should match the agreed configuration.
Keep the product budget and delivery estimate separate
Blue Cove’s reference product price is US$1,988; Blue Haven’s is US$2,188. Estimated DDP freight for a floating platform to an eligible US or European address is US$800 per unit, including duties and import taxes. Product and freight figures are planning references, not a final delivered quote. Share quantity, delivery country, postal code and any timing requirement; custom dimensions, changes and the packed shipment can affect the quote. Remote areas and outlying islands are excluded. Standard platform production is about 45 days after design approval, followed by about 60 days in transit; confirm the schedule for your project.
